How much does a complete security system cost?
A standard wireless home alarm starts from £495 fully installed. A combined alarm + 4 camera CCTV system runs around £1495. Fully integrated commercial security with monitoring typically starts from £2995 plus a monthly monitoring fee. Pricing depends on the size of the property, the number of sensors and cameras and whether smoke or CO alarms are included. Free site survey and fixed written quote on every job.
Can I combine an alarm with CCTV in one system?
Yes and we recommend it. Modern smart systems integrate the alarm panel, CCTV recorder and any smoke alarms into a single mobile app. Arm the alarm and you can also see the cameras. Get a motion alert and you can pull up the camera feed instantly. The combined Premium package starts from £1495 fully installed.
Will my insurance recognise this kind of system?
Yes. Every alarm we install meets BS EN 50131 standards which is the recognised UK and European specification for intruder alarm systems. We issue an insurance certificate on completion which you forward to your insurer to claim the typical 10 to 20 percent premium discount. CCTV systems are also documented as part of the same paperwork.
Do you do monitored alarms with police response?
Yes. We install fully monitored Grade 3 alarms with NSI or SSAIB approved Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) connection. When the alarm triggers, the ARC verifies the activation and dispatches either a keyholder or the police where qualifying. Police response requires URN registration with your local force which we handle as part of the install.
Wired or wireless: which is better?
For most existing properties wireless is the right choice for alarms. Easy to install, easy to expand. For CCTV we recommend wired (PoE) for any property where the cameras matter as wireless cameras suffer from signal drop and battery management issues. We fit both and recommend the right option after the survey.
How long does the installation take?
A wireless alarm install on its own usually takes one day. A combined alarm + CCTV install typically takes one to two days depending on the number of cameras and cable runs. Larger commercial installs with monitoring connection and panic buttons can take two to three days. We always tell you the expected duration in writing before the install date.
Is the mobile app set up included?
Yes. We set up the mobile app on your phone before we leave site. We configure the smart features properly: arming schedules, motion alerts, camera feeds, two-way audio and any geofencing options. Walk-through given on every install so you know how to use the system from day one.
Do you cover commercial security too?
Yes. We install commercial security across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire for offices, retail units, restaurants, warehouses, industrial premises and trade counters.
